2 charged in series of Crystal Lake vehicle burglaries

CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- Robert A. Fleenor and Ryan N. Vette were arrested in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries in Crystal Lake, police said.

Fleenor, 21, of Lake in the Hills, and Vette, 23, of Crystal Lake, were allegedly observed acting suspicious in the 600-block of Greenbrier Lane, police said. Police said the subjects allegedly approached parked vehicles in driveways, after which they were approached by police.

Officials said a subsequent investigation revealed that a series of vehicles in the area had been entered and had items stolen from them.

Both Fleenor and Vette faces felony criminal trespass to vehicle charges and are being held at McHenry County Jail.
