LOCKPORT, Ill. (WLS) -- A southwest suburban Lockport museum reopened Saturday, nearly one year after it was shut down due to the state budget crisis.

The state and the city agreed to share expenses to operate the Illinois State Museum Lockport Gallery.

The museum celebrated with a new exhibit called "Open," featuring art that expresses the theme of openness.
