CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three famous runners were in Chicago Sunday to give marathon runners advice before the Chicago Marathon in two weeks.

Meb Keflezighi, the most successful American marathon runner of his generation, was very popular among the crowd of Chicago runners Sunday. Keflezighi won the 2014 Boston Marathon and the New York Marathon. He also has an Olympic silver medal.

Keflezighi and fellow Olympians Desiree Linden and Amy Cragg were at Fleet Fleet Sports offering advice to several hundred runners who have trained all summer hoping to finish the 26.2 mile Chicago marathon.

The pros said they deal with many of the same challenges amateurs do.

"I love running," said Keflezighi. "You get what you put into it."

The Chicago Marathon annually draws some of the fastest marathoners in the world. Although it's too soon after the Olympic Marathon for these Americans to run in Chicago, they will be cheering.
