Chicago FBI: Bank robbery suspect in custody

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago bureau of the FBI says an individual suspected of carrying out Tuesday's bank robbery is in Chicago police custody.

Tuesday, FBI Chicago released surveillance pictures of a man they say robbed a Fifth Third Bank at 601 South Clark Street around 1:15 p.m. Five minutes later, he was believed to have gotten on a CTA Blue Line train.

Several northbound Blue Line trains in Chicago's Loop were stopped while police searched cars and the subway.

FBI Chicago says no charges have been filed at this point and no further information is available. Chicago police have not yet commented.
