Recently, Frank Almond, the concert master for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, was attacked and had his Stradivarius violin stolen.

The instrument was later found. On Sunday, Almond held an open rehearsal to practice for a concert being held Monday night. He thanked authorities for their hard work in locating the violin.

"The outpouring of support and enthusiasm has been incredible, really, the city's been unbelievable. Again, I can't thank Chief Flynn and the police enough," he said.

Monday's concert is designed around the Stradivarius violin and its 300-year-old history and was planned before it was stolen.

The performance will take place at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center in Brookfield, Wis.
