CHICAGO (WLS) -- Charges are pending Saturday again a man who vandalized a piece of public art that's meant to benefit the Chicago's Police Memorial Fund.

The man allegedly broke off the wings on the police memorial horse known as "The Drake."

The statue sits along the 500 block of North Michigan Avenue.

It is one of dozens of horses around town which trace the history of the city's police force. The man says he was trying to get on it to take a picture.
