CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are searching for four suspects after a strong-arm robbery on the Red Line earlier this month.

The male victim, 21, was approached by a man soliciting donations for a basketball team while riding the Red Line between 47th Street and Garfield Boulevard on the afternoon of Dec. 7. When the victim gave $5, the offender became irate and began harassing the victim for more money, police said.

The victim refused to increase his donation and the offender began battering the victim and stole his iPod. Three additional offenders joined the fray before fleeing at the 55th Street stop.

The offenders are described as black males, ages 17-20.
