News first broke of the tragic MH 17 crash when Malaysia Airlines posted on its Twitter feed that it "has lost contact of MH17 from Amsterdam. The last known position was over Ukrainian airspace. More details to follow."

At the moment, details as to why the plane crashed are unconfirmed, despite reports of the plane being shot down by several alleged parties. More to follow.
